Seven retail groups share the Geely brand in France as of spring 2026. The largest, Como, runs eight outlets, all in the Greater Paris area. The smallest, Select Auto, has a single site in La Rochelle. Identifying the best Geely dealer therefore means comparing networks of very unequal size, for a brand whose model range and list prices are the same everywhere.
Key points:
- Seven groups distribute Geely in France: Como (8 sites), Maurin (7 announced), Auto Réal Group, Baldassari Automobiles and Elypse Autos (3 each), BYmyCAR (2) and Select Auto (1)
- Como holds the densest coverage in the country, concentrated in Greater Paris, and also distributes Mercedes-Benz, smart and Lexus
- Prices are not negotiated site by site: €20,990 for the EX2, €34,990 for the Starray EM-i, €37,990 for the E5, with leasing rates of €366 to €439 per month
- Geely requires every distributor to run an exclusive showroom of at least 250 sq m with a dedicated salesperson
- The real differentiator in 2026 is not the number of showrooms but whether the nearest site has a workshop

Geely distributors ranked by network size
Geely Auto France sells nothing directly. The brand has handed its entire distribution to established automotive groups, confirmed in waves since late April 2026. Here is the current ranking, based on signed Geely sites:
| Rank | Retail group | Geely sites | Area covered | Other brands operated |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Como | 8 | Greater Paris | Mercedes-Benz, smart, Lexus |
| 2 | Maurin | 7 announced for 2026 | cities not disclosed | multi-brand |
| 3 | Auto Réal Group | 3 | Bordeaux, Toulouse, Perpignan | multi-brand |
| 3 | Baldassari Automobiles | 3 | Marseille, Toulon, Fréjus | multi-brand |
| 3 | Elypse Autos | 3 | Mulhouse, Belfort, Épinal | Volvo, Polestar, Lynk & Co |
| 6 | BYmyCAR | 2 | Villeneuve-Loubet, Le Cannet | multi-brand |
| 7 | Select Auto | 1 | La Rochelle | multi-brand |
This ranking comes with a caveat worth stating upfront: none of these groups covers two regions at once. Comparing Como and Select Auto only makes sense as a measure of how solid a partner is, not as a way to settle a purchase. A buyer in La Rochelle has no reason to look towards the Paris region.
Network density does keep some practical value. On a brand still in launch phase, demonstration cars and production allocations are shared between the sites of a single group. Calling three Como dealerships often means comparing three different delivery lead times, something a single-site distributor cannot offer.
What a Geely dealer must guarantee in 2026
The specification imposed on distributors is unusually strict for a brand just starting out. Thomas Léonard, commercial and network development director at Geely Auto France, sets out the first condition:
“We ask distributors to open an exclusive showroom of at least 250 sq m and to assign a dedicated salesperson.”
Thomas Léonard, Geely Auto France, quoted by Journal Auto, April 2026
Three further commitments can be checked site by site. The manufacturer warranty covers 8 years or 200,000 km, backed by three years of roadside assistance, placing the brand above European standards in the segment. Spare parts run through a warehouse opened in northern France and a European hub, with a next-day delivery promise across the country. Sharing a site with BYD, MG or Chery is forbidden.
That exclusivity has a direct effect on opening schedules. Fitting out 250 sq m of dedicated space takes time, and several addresses start as display space before a workshop follows. This is where scepticism towards coverage announcements is healthy: an open showroom does not mean an available workshop, and for servicing, only the workshop address counts. The full list of outlets is set out in our overview of the Geely dealer network.
Como, the leading Geely network in Greater Paris
With eight signed sites, the Como group is ahead of every other distributor of the brand. The addresses cover Paris 12th and Paris 17th within the city, Colombes and Fontenay-sous-Bois in the inner suburbs, then Stains, Vélizy, Port Marly and Pontoise further out. No other group operates in the Paris region.
The distributor’s profile matters as much as the number of addresses. Como operates Mercedes-Benz, smart and Lexus, with around 500 staff and in the region of 8,500 vehicles delivered per year. Reception standards, courtesy cars and workshop lead times applied to premium brands transfer mechanically to Geely, since the teams and the workshops are the same.
One detail matters for a Paris-area buyer in a hurry: the eight sites are spread across the four corners of the region, putting most communes within thirty minutes of an outlet. The offers on new Geely vehicles and test drive bookings run through the same channel for all eight addresses.
The other groups distributing Geely in France
The Maurin group is the most recent arrival, with seven Geely dealerships announced for 2026, which will place it second in the network. The cities involved have not been disclosed at this stage.
Elypse Autos has the most coherent technical profile. The group already operated Volvo, Polestar and Lynk & Co, three brands held by the same shareholder as Geely. Mechanic training, diagnostic tools and parts logistics partly rest on shared foundations, a real advantage across its three sites in Mulhouse, Belfort and Épinal.
Auto Réal Group holds the South West with Bordeaux, Toulouse and Perpignan, while Baldassari Automobiles covers Marseille, Toulon and Fréjus. On the Riviera, BYmyCAR adds Villeneuve-Loubet and Le Cannet, bringing the number of Geely sites between Bouches-du-Rhône and Alpes-Maritimes to five. Select Auto closes the ranking with its La Rochelle outlet.
Then there are the blank spots. Normandy, Brittany and Centre-Val de Loire had no confirmed distributor as of mid-2026. The brand’s schedule calls for 50 outlets in September 2026 and 70 by year end, against around thirty at the end of June. For a buyer in those regions, waiting a few months costs less than 300 kilometres for every service.
Test driving a Starray EM-i or an E5 before buying
The French range comes down to three models, all available to test drive in store:
| Model | Type | Range | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Geely EX2 | electric city car | not disclosed | from €20,990 |
| Geely Starray EM-i | hybrid compact SUV, 262 hp | 136 km electric, 1,055 km total | €34,990 to €38,990 |
| Geely E5 | electric compact SUV | 430 to 475 km | €37,990 to €41,990 |
A test drive carries more weight here than on an established brand. Perceived interior quality, the behaviour of the Starray EM-i’s petrol generator and the ergonomics of the E5’s 15.4-inch screen cannot be judged from a spec sheet. Our profile of the Geely E5 electric SUV and of the Geely Starray EM-i hybrid set out what to watch during the drive.
The number of demonstration cars allocated to each site drives the waiting time. Over the first months of operation, one or two units per model per dealership is the norm, which explains delays of several weeks at recently opened sites.
Leasing and launch offers: what the dealer actually changes
Monthly rates are negotiated by the importer, not by the distributor. Long-term leasing on the Starray EM-i runs from €366 to €419 per month with no deposit, on a 48-month, 40,000 km contract. The E5 sits between €399 and €439 per month. A launch offer at €299 per month circulated at the start, with a deposit of 10% on the Starray and 13% on the E5. Financing is arranged through CA Auto Bank, with Drivalia handling long-term leasing.
The dealer’s room for manoeuvre lies elsewhere: the trade-in value of the old car, the accessories included and the delivery lead time. Those are the only three points where putting two dealerships in competition has a measurable effect. Full details of the packages appear in our article on Geely prices and financing in France, and the complete process in our guide to buying a Geely in France.
Which Geely dealer for which buyer
| Buyer’s situation | Distributor to favour | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Living in Greater Paris | Como | only group in the region, 8 sites, premium culture |
| Provence and the Riviera | Baldassari or BYmyCAR | 5 sites combined, from Marseille to Le Cannet |
| South West | Auto Réal Group | Bordeaux, Toulouse, Perpignan |
| Grand Est | Elypse Autos | already a Volvo, Polestar and Lynk & Co distributor |
| Charente-Maritime | Select Auto | single site in La Rochelle |
| Normandy, Brittany, Centre-Val de Loire | wait for September or late 2026 | 50 then 70 sites announced |
One last figure to settle the question: Geely targeted 6,000 deliveries in France in its first year and 5% market share by 2030, roughly 80,000 vehicles in a market of 1.6 million units. By that date, 200 outlets are planned, against around sixty today. In most regions, the dealer chosen in 2026 will be the one whose mechanics were trained two or three years before everyone else’s.
Frequently asked questions
Which is the best Geely dealer?
On network coverage, Como comes first with eight Geely sites, all in the Greater Paris area, followed by the Maurin group and its seven dealerships announced for 2026. Auto Réal Group, Baldassari Automobiles and Elypse Autos each operate three outlets, BYmyCAR two and Select Auto a single site in La Rochelle. The ranking shifts by region: outside Greater Paris, the best Geely dealer is almost always the nearest one, since no group covers two regions at once. Product commitments are identical everywhere, with the 8-year or 200,000 km warranty and list prices both set by the importer.
How many groups distribute Geely in France?
Seven retail groups have been confirmed since the brand launched in late April 2026: Como, Maurin, Auto Réal Group, Baldassari Automobiles, Elypse Autos, BYmyCAR and Select Auto. Geely Auto France does not sell directly and hands its entire distribution to these independent partners. The network is set to reach 70 outlets by the end of 2026, then 120 in 2027 and 200 by 2030.
Does a Geely cost more at one dealer than another?
List prices are set by the importer: €20,990 for the EX2 city car, €34,990 to €38,990 for the Starray EM-i and €37,990 to €41,990 for the E5. Long-term leasing rates are negotiated upstream too, from €366 to €419 per month for the Starray and €399 to €439 for the E5. What does vary between dealers is the trade-in value of the old car, the accessories included and the delivery lead time, which depends on each site’s vehicle allocation.
Should you choose a Geely dealer that already sells other brands?
It is a concrete advantage. An established group has a running workshop, trained staff and a service record you can verify through its other franchises. Elypse Autos already operated Volvo, Polestar and Lynk & Co, three brands owned by the same shareholder as Geely, and Como distributes Mercedes-Benz, smart and Lexus. Geely does however require an exclusive showroom of at least 250 sq m and bans sharing a site with BYD, MG or Chery.
Where can you test drive a Geely Starray EM-i or an E5?
Test drives are booked with the dealer, not with the brand. In the Paris region, the eight Como sites cover Paris 12th, Paris 17th, Colombes, Fontenay-sous-Bois, Stains, Vélizy, Port Marly and Pontoise. Elsewhere, waiting times depend on how many demonstration vehicles each site has been allocated, often one or two per model during the first months of operation.
